It is near the Sakassou interchange, on the Northern highway, that this future strategic platform will take shape. Spread over 550 hectares, the Bouaké Logistics and Industrial Zone (ZLIB) is designed to become a leading industrial and logistics hub, capable of effectively connecting the north of the country to major national and sub-regional markets.

For Ivorian industry, the expected benefits are considerable. The zone should encourage the establishment of new production units, attract local and foreign investors, and stimulate the creation of qualified jobs in a region with strong human potential. By positioning Bouaké as a central node of the internal economy, the ZLIB will contribute to rebalancing the industrial fabric of the country, concentrated for too long around Abidjan. Logistically, the proximity of the Northern highway will facilitate the fluidity of trade with the landlocked Sahelian countries, thus strengthening the role of Côte d'Ivoire as a gateway to the West African sub-region.

With the ZLIB, Bouaké aims to establish itself as the second locomotive economy of the country, serving a more competitive Ivory Coast and better integrated into global value chains. The studies were entrusted to the National Bureau of Technical Studies and Development (BNETD).
