Four days of rigorous inspection. This is the time spent by the SOGEDI CCP teams, supported by the management unit of the Diversification, Industrial Acceleration, Competitiveness and Jobs (DAICE) program, to assess the progress of work on the 70 hectares dedicated to the extension of the Yamoussoukro industrial zone. This mission is in line with the official launch of the work, carried out on December 17, 2025 by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr Souleymane Diarrassouba.
The supervision focused on three essential points. First, check that the work has actually started in accordance with the established schedule. Secondly, ensure the proper location of camp sites and access roads, infrastructure essential to the proper organization of the site. Third, inspect the environmental and social measures implemented by the companies awarded the contracts, in accordance with the requirements of the specifications.
Note that the industrial zone of Yamoussoukro, whose total area reaches 750 hectares, is the subject of rehabilitation estimated at 62 billion CFA francs. The development of this new 70-hectare plot aims to strengthen the industrial attractiveness of the country's political capital and to accommodate new production units. The DAICE program, which actively contributes to this, is part of the national strategy of economic diversification and job creation supported by the State of Côte d'Ivoire.
