Welcomed by the Directorate of the National Bureau of Technical Studies and Development (BNETD), the General Planning Commission (CGP) of Gabon, under the supervision of the Ministry of Planning and Foresight) came in search of specific know-how to Côte d'Ivoire in April. The objective for Gabon through this immersion is to accelerate the operationalization of the National Growth and Development Plan (PNCD) 2026-2030 by relying on proven methods which have enabled Côte d'Ivoire to transform its ambitions into concrete achievements.
During the working session, the BNETD revealed its entire value chain for public projects (technical design, economic and financial structuring, maturation mechanisms, budgetary arbitration and monitoring-evaluation). These themes directly respond to Gabonese ambition to strengthen the efficiency of public spending and improve the bankability of its investment projects. Beyond the theoretical exchanges, this mission concluded with concrete progress. Focal points have been designated on both sides to ensure technical monitoring of structuring projects in Gabon. The two parties are also preparing the upcoming signing of a memorandum of understanding, the culmination of cooperation already sealed during an Ivorian mission to Libreville in 2025.
This visit is part of a logic of African integration through knowledge. It confirms that Ivorian expertise, under the Presidency of H.E Alassane OUATTARA, now constitutes a strategic asset from which peers on the continent intend to draw inspiration to transform their development visions into executable and financeable projects.
