The West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) displays encouraging institutional health. The average rate of implementation of community reforms stands at 73% in 2025, compared to 75.91% recorded during the 2023 edition. This year, the evaluation covered 145 reforms, or 13 more than during the previous year when 132 directives were reviewed. This extension of the evaluation perimeter demonstrates the continued deepening of the Union's integration agenda.

Abidjan clearly stands out within the community space. With a rate of 85%, Côte d'Ivoire is among the best performing states in the Union. The President of the Commission, Abdoulaye Diop, personally congratulated the Ivorian government for this performance. Dr Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Planning and Development, representing the Minister of the Economy, reaffirmed the Ivorian desire to accelerate the transposition of community texts and the implementation of UEMOA projects on the national territory, in accordance with the guidelines of the Head of State H.E Alassane OUATTARA.

Beyond statistics, these reforms produce concrete effects. By building a more competitive and attractive economic area, WAEMU member states are laying the foundations for sustainable growth that creates jobs and reduces poverty at Union level. Côte d'Ivoire, a recognized driver of this dynamic for more than a decade, intends to consolidate this role by maintaining the demand for results in the rigorous application of community law.
