Boundiali gold mine: a gold project with high potential
The Boundiali mining project, located in the Bagoué region in the north of Ivory Coast, is one of the most promising gold deposits in West Africa. retained by the Australian company Aurum Resources, the deposit now displays total resources estimated at approximately 3.03 million ounces of gold, including 920,000 ounces classified in the “indicated” category, an increase of 53% compared to previous estimates. To accelerate its development, Aurum Resources announced in March 2026 a fundraising of around US$20 million via a share placement. Perseus Mining, operator of the Ivorian mines of Sissingué and Yaouré, plans to acquire up to 9.9% of the capital of Aurum. A pre-feasibility study is being finalized, an essential prerequisite for the final investment decision, with the start of construction work planned for this year if authorizations are obtained.
