Mass distribution: CDCI opens up to new investors
The Distribution Company of Côte d'Ivoire (CDCI), a subsidiary of the Moroccan group Retail Holding, owner of the Label'Vie brand, announced, on May 18, 2026 in Abidjan, the entry of two new shareholders into its capital. These are the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the financial arm of the World Bank Group dedicated to the private sector, and the pan-African fund Valoris Africa. This operation is accompanied by an increase in the capital of the CDCI to the tune of 27 billion FCFA. The stated objective is clear, to finance the expansion of the food distribution network through the opening of 400 new stores by 2030. The official ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d'Ivoire (CGECI). With these renowned partners, CDCI, the country's leading food distribution network, intends to consolidate its dominant position on the Ivorian market.
