Gathered at the headquarters of the Center for the Promotion of Investments in Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI) in Abidjan, actors from the private and institutional sector attended the official launch of the Guichet Investir au Féminin (GUIF), an instrument that the Director General of CEPICI, Solange Amichia, presents as a structuring step forward in favor of women entrepreneurs. Long faced with financial and administrative barriers, they now have a single access point to structure their projects and access financing. Behind the cash register of this announcement are a constraint to meet tight deadlines and a stated ambition. The GUIF is part of the Business Climate Improvement Support Program for a structural transformation of the Ivorian economy (PACA-CI), financed by the African Development Bank Group (AfDB). d'Ivoire, was selected to provide technical and financial support to the beneficiaries. The system targets five sectors deemed promising by the 2026-2030 National Development Plan. These are mining, agro-industry, logistics, construction and digital. Its pilot phase aims to support nearly 1,000 women entrepreneurs, of which 50 high-potential companies will benefit from a reinforced acceleration path giving them access to markets, capital and strategic partnerships. This initiative confirms a shift in posture observed by the promoters of the WIC model, that of an approach which moves from simple inclusion to a real investment pipeline for businesses run by women.

Thus, by consolidating support for female SMEs across the entire value chain, the GUIF aims to build a more equitable and resilient economic ecosystem in the Côte Ivory.
