The agricultural sector ended 2025 on a very positive note. Indeed, it was in the political capital, Yamoussoukro, that the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production, Bruno Nabagné Koné, chaired the 2025 agricultural sector review workshop. Facing producers, technicians and institutional managers, the Minister praised the unfailing commitment of those on the ground, describing the results obtained as satisfactory.

At the heart of discussions, the numbers speak for themselves. Total production of export crops stood at 11,251,611 tonnes, a net surplus of 916,526 tonnes compared to 2024. On the food side, the dynamic is just as sustained, with production of 25,800,294 tonnes compared to 23,654,674 tonnes in 2024, an increase of 9% in one year. The Minister also highlighted the achievements of the National Agricultural Investment Program II (PNIA II), welcoming its concrete effects in terms of modernizing farms, strengthening the resilience of sectors and improving living conditions in rural areas.

In short, these performances consolidate the place of agriculture as a pillar of the Ivorian economy and open up the path to an ambitious transition to the PNIA III, the next stage of an agricultural strategy resolutely focused on transformation and competitiveness.
