AMUGA unveils 11 mobility projects for Greater Abidjan
The Greater Abidjan Urban Mobility Authority (AMUGA) presented 11 structuring projects during an event held on July 8 and 9, 2026, as part of the 2026-2030 National Development Plan. These initiatives, representing a total investment of close to 1,400 billion CFA francs, include in particular 8 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lines, a lagoon transport project and the Plateau Smart City project. Among the BRT lines are those of Yopougon-Niangon, Abobo Nord, Mbel Air, Plateau, as well as routes connecting the Route du Zoo, the Grand Bassam expressway and Yopougon. The AMUGA stand welcomed numerous visitors, economic operators, students and public decision-makers, who came to learn about these projects supervised by a team of experts supervised by Technical Advisor Assi Crépin. These projects are part of the Integrated Multimodal Transport System, the objective of which is to resolve the mismatch between mobility supply and demand in Greater Abidjan. Ultimately, they aim to reduce traffic jams and make people’s daily travel safer.
