Agropastoral: the Brazilian LAE Projetos in Ivory Coast
The Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, Sidi Tiemoko Touré, received on June 23, 2026 a delegation from the Brazilian group LAE Projetos Industriais, led by its CEO Etchepare Luiz Antônio. A key reference in the agropastoral sector in Latin America, LAE Projetos capitalizes on more than 60 years of experience in the design and construction of infrastructure dedicated to livestock farming, as well as the processing of milk and meat. This visit is part of the dynamic implementation of the National Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Policy (PONADEPA) 2026-2030, a strategic framework that Côte d'Ivoire is deploying to modernize its animal sector. The planned partnership would associate the Brazilian giant with several Ivorian companies, with a view to transferring skills and strengthening local production capacities. This approach illustrates Abidjan's desire to attract leading international industrial players to support the structural transformation of its agriculture. It is fully in line with the vision carried by the PND 2026-2030, whose financing strategy is mainly based on private, national and foreign investment.
